Happened to pick up this book in the library and found it very interesting and thought provoking. My wife and I were missionaries in Africa for many years and we were ashamed of the way many whites spoke about and treated our African brothers and sisters. In New Zealand we had never experienced anti-racial atmammary glandudes so going to Africa and working solely amongst black people was a real eye opener when we did have occasion to share with whites. The discussion questions at the end of the book were particularly.thought provoking. I will certainly hunt out other books you have penned. Thankyou for your straight forward approach to what I imagine for many is difficult to come to grips with.

I just wanted to let you know that this book was soooo wonderful! My family is dealing with breast cancer from a different perspective as it is my husband who has it - rare as that is. I just want to let you know that this book has truly helped me to emotionally and spiritually heal. We have been fighting this now for almost two years and he is still taking radiation treatments since his recurrence. He is having a hard time emotionally and spiritually as well and your book has helped give me the right tools to help him better. Connie and Ms. Emma really have the keys to true peace.

God Bless you!

I just saw your book No Regrets at Borders in Greensboro, because of your last name I picked the book up. I have been a fan every since. I let several people read the book and now they are fans, and purchased their own copy of your book No Regrets. You are an amazing writer that has saved my marriage in more ways than one. I appreciate you and keep on writing, I have to find Nobodys Perfect and plan on buying Let Sleeping Dog Lie soon. Again thank you so much and may God continue blessings in your life.

Ms. Haley,
You are an awesome and gifted writer! I was introduced to NO REGRETS in Nov.07 and enjoyed so much I immediately read 3 additional books within 1 month. I was looking for a perfect opportunity to have some ladies over, so I decided to give 2 months notice for all to read and discuss LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE. We met this past Saturday (11 ladies) and had a blast! The discussions were so in depth, it lasted for 3 hours!! Thanks again for sharing your gift with us; I wish you abundant blessings. -Dalys

This book was a god sent for me. It is easy to say leave when you have not felt the affect of dealing with Karen's situation and now I am dealing with it. I was diagnosed in November of 2007 with DCIS Breast Cancer and my husband and I were having problems beforehand. Approximately 3 weeks before the diagnosis he contacted me begging for forgiveness for all he has done to me an put me through. I gave him a 2nd chance. Now that the chance has been given he treats me so bad and does not even support me through this scare. It hurts so bad! I cannot take the lies anymore and want him to leave simply because it makes me sick in my body and I cannot take the lies and betrayal at this time in my life. I am trying to wait on God. Really I am but the pain inside my heart is so heavy I dont know if I can continue to bear. As much as we have been through I would have never thought in a million years that he would be treating me like he is now. I just continue to cry praying for direction.

Girl I really enjoyed this book, read it in two days, What did the father feel guilty about? I beleive it was because he had to take lives during the war. Did Sylvia ever confront Tony, if yes what was the outcome. I think there are a lot of families like the Reyondes, especially mine. Secrets, secrets and more secrets. Thanks for the word sent to me from your writing. May God continue to bless you

Every situation is diffrent, only the people directly involved know's the dynamics in a relationship, for me personally, after 20 years of marriage I realize one person cannot make a marriage work, no matter how much you may sacrifice or take; it takes two people working toward the same goal. and sometimes even though we know this, it's really hard to follow through and do what must be done. But God bless any couples out there who are struggling to make it through.

I just finished reading Nobody's Perfect. It is a great and inspirational book. It lets us know that we should be blessed with the little things in life and as long as we have God we can overcome anything.

I have a burning desire to write but am having difficulty getting started. I don't want to waste my gift and/or talent. What tips and/or advice would you suggest in order to help me break the ice.

Thank you

I have to say that the only books that have held my attention were books with profanity. Your book was the first i read clean and in 2 days. It was absolutely outstanding. I had taken my l4 year old daughter to the book store for herself and she said mommy get a book. I brought a book Ohpra had mentioned on one of her shows and your book. I started the other book first and i couldn't get into it and story jumped around to much. I got fustrated so i pick up still waters and it was amaizing from start to finish. I cannot wait to read another one of your books. You keep it up because God has certainley blessed you.

Soror,
My book club, Glorious Women of God, just finished reading "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" and I must say that it was such a blessing to be reminded of how strong our Faith should be. I thought I had strong faith until I read about Louise. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

God Bless!

Hi Patricia
I just finisheds reading No Regrets. It was an awsome book. It really touched my heart. I cried when Karen got sick and when Connie died. My sister reads all the time and she has been telling me how great your books are, but I don't read a lot. Now I am determined to read all of your books. That one book really inspired me to start reading more. May God continue to bless you.

I just finished your book yesterday. I wanted more. "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie" touched my heart, soul and spirit like no other book has ever done and I am an avid reader; and I mean that so sincerely. The faith that Louise had made me question my own; realizing that my faith is not as strong as it should be, though it is strong. There were stories within the story itself that if you pay real attention to, you will pick up. For example, Tony and Lee's inability to settle down and always getting into trouble. Why was this? I believe they too were molested and this is how they handled their own humiliation and shame; then they passed it on to other chiildren. I believe that was Herbert's secret that he wanted to tell Louise; about his own molestation as a child. Sylvia's memories brought back his own. That, along with Sylvia's distance, troubled him. A past he wanted to leave there, in the past. I have given the book to one of my daughters to read; I have 3. I told her to pass it on to her sister when she is done. Your insight into relationships is profound.

"When you get married, never share informatioin with others that you wouldn't be willing to share with your husband. Never let secrets enter your marriage. Marriage is too precious and too much of a blessing to jeopardize." Deep. Can't wait to get to your other books.

Be well.

Patricia,

Hi! My mother and I met you years ago when you and several other authors were at Sepia, Sand & Sable in Baltimore, MD. I bought my camera and took pictures of you and the others. You surprised my mother with a phone call when we were trying to find Nobody's Perfect. I believe she wrote a letter to try to find the book and to her surprise, you called her at home and sent her a copy! Momma and I came to Karibu in Bowie Town Center and had a good conversation with you and your husband. Do you remember us? I haven't seen you in a long time. You used to send my mother a flier to let us know when you were coming to our area. We saw Kimberla at Borders in Largo and couple of months ago. I'm taking Momma to see Victoria on Thursday night at Karibu In Prince George's Plaza, but we really miss seeing you! I just joined your mailing list and I will check the website regulary. We hope to see you soon!!

Your loyal fans,

Linda & Annette Johnson (Momma)

Patricia,

I have just finished reading this book, through our book club, "Glory Girls'. It was a nice read and I have to say, you keep the pages turning. I didn't want to put the book down because I wanted to know what was next. I look forward to reading some of the others. We are very interested in knowing what happened to Sylvia and Angela. We also want to know what was the 'secret' that their father has?
